Confined Spaces Awareness
Developed in conjunction with Health & Safety professionals, Compliance Standard Group, this course will give you an overview of working in confined spaces, including why confined spaces are so dangerous, as well as the hazards associated with them.
It also covers the legislation on confined spaces, including:
- The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- The Confined Spaces Regulation 1997
Who should take the course?
Anyone who is required to do activities within a confined space, including:
- Storage tanks
- Silos
- Reaction vessels
- Enclosed drains
- Sewers
- Open-topped chambers
- Vats
- Combustion chambers in furnaces
- Ductwork
- Unventilated or poorly ventilated rooms
